It's been a while since you've been here...
Welcome back :) Forbidden7 19:19, 11 July 2011 (EDT)
- Thank you. :) Blue Ninjakoopa(Talk) 21:29, 11 July 2011 (EDT)
It's good to have you back, Binky. Miles (talk) 22:02, 11 July 2011 (EDT)
- Thank you, Mills. I missed you in particular. Blue Ninjakoopa(Talk) 22:03, 11 July 2011 (EDT)
Though we had our disagreements in the past, I trust that you have improved (notably after seeing your well written apologees on Wikitroid) and will remain a brilliant user. Mr. Anon (talk) 00:13, 12 July 2011 (EDT)
- Thank you, thank you. Blue Ninjakoopa(Talk) 01:02, 12 July 2011 (EDT)
- He's been here since the days of Clarient Hawk,Zmario, and FyrenWater.(Where have they gone...) The days when talk pages were the IRC(for proof, look througn BNK's talk archive)... Forbidden7 11:21, 13 July 2011 (EDT)
- Thanks, PSIWolf. Anyway, yes, I have been around. I used to be the wiki's top trouble-maker. A lot of the admins I had trouble with are gone now... as a matter of fact, all of them are. Blue Ninjakoopa(Talk) 14:43, 13 July 2011 (EDT)
Well Hello
BNK. It's been a while, my old friend. You may not remember me, as I've changed my name and my attitude. I am the one you once called Oxico, though I am hardly the same person anymore. It's great to see that you're back, and I look forward to working with you again. MtnDewholic 9000File:PokemonSymbol.png 12:38, 13 July 2011 (EDT)
- You're Oxico?! Forbidden7 12:45, 13 July 2011 (EDT)
- Oxico... it's certainly been a while. If you ever have time, we should catch up in the web chat. Blue Ninjakoopa(Talk) 14:43, 13 July 2011 (EDT)
- Never knew that. ..... Pylons? 14:58, 13 July 2011 (EDT)

- Probably have other things to do, like school etc. Blue Ninjakoopa(Talk) 15:12, 13 July 2011 (EDT)
- Oh hey, it's Oxico.
- But man, a lot of people have vanished. I almost miss 13375poolR. Miles (talk) 16:47, 13 July 2011 (EDT)
- Yes, I was Oxico. Hardly am anymore. But yes, I have missed you greatly BnK, we should catch up. I remember during the days of the Smash Cult, you and I become quite good friends. Who is left from our old group? MtnDewholic 9000File:PokemonSymbol.png 17:05, 13 July 2011 (EDT)
- JtM(eltdown) still shows up on AiB occasionally, as does Skell. Miles (talk) 18:07, 13 July 2011 (EDT)
- GxD and KP are still around as well as Shade, but not on any Wiki. Runer's gone, JtM and Xtrme are still around but only on Facebook and apparently they pop up on AiB too. Shade's on Facebook and GxD & KP are active at our forum (and Facebook). You're welcome to join anytime, we still use the ol' proboards domain. [1] :) Blue Ninjakoopa(Talk) 18:10, 13 July 2011 (EDT)

Ah yes all those wonderful friends. Is it quite alright if I add you on FaceBook? I can find you there, and I am on there much more than anything else. Things have changed a lot for me, I hope we can still be friends. MtnDewholic 9000File:PokemonSymbol.png 18:23, 13 July 2011 (EDT)
- Yes, you can. Be sure to add the others and I'll add you to our group called the "Smash Circle". Even though you don't play Smash much, that's generally how we all communicate with each other on Facebook. The link is here, just add everyone you recognize and request to join. And we can still be pals, we never weren't. :) Blue Ninjakoopa(Talk) 18:29, 13 July 2011 (EDT)

Anime not necessarily evil
In that Smash is known to have used anime-based stuff for Pokemon elements before. Miles (talk) 16:25, 14 July 2011 (EDT)
- Misty is a game character also. If Melee had an Ash trophy, then yes, your statement would be quite true. Blue Ninjakoopa(Talk) 16:28, 14 July 2011 (EDT)
- And how accurately does that trophy represent Misty's appearance in anything but the anime? Miles (talk) 16:42, 14 July 2011 (EDT)
- Well, I just looked for her official artwork on Bulbapedia and you are right, the trophy is based on her anime appearance alone. This is strange. But, the Pokemon anime is the only anime with any influence on Smash Bros. at all. Blue Ninjakoopa(Talk) 16:47, 14 July 2011 (EDT)
- Not disputing that; there's no evidence of any influence from K:RBAY or anything like that, but it's clear that the Pokemon anime and even the TCG were sources of elements for Smash. Miles (talk) 16:59, 14 July 2011 (EDT)

While the relevance of this is less clear, some things are imports-to-canon from animes. Cf. Checker Knights. Miles (talk) 20:10, 8 August 2011 (EDT)

Other game covers
Why exactly are you removing them? It's better than having the list of games on the universe pages be a wall of text with no images. Miles (talk) 13:34, 15 July 2011 (EDT)
- I thought this was settled? Mr. Anon (talk) 14:31, 15 July 2011 (EDT)
- Eh, I don't get it. I want to know it too. Can you explain?--PSIWolf (T • C • E) 14:32, 15 July 2011 (EDT)
- @PSIWolf. Talk:Super Mario Bros. 2 Unknown the Hedgehog 14:44, 15 July 2011 (EDT)
- @Miles - Not really. If people reading the articles want to see box art they can go to the respective Wiki.
- @UtH - Why did you bother linking him to that talk page? That argument is quite different; the box art I removed has absolutely no relevance to Smash Bros. while the box art on those articles are there the same reason we have official artwork for character articles. Blue Ninjakoopa(Talk) 16:14, 15 July 2011 (EDT)
- Eh, I don't get it. I want to know it too. Can you explain?--PSIWolf (T • C • E) 14:32, 15 July 2011 (EDT)
Just wondering...
Do you ever go on IRC? (Like the header says, I was just wondering)--PSIWolf (T • C • E) 07:47, 25 July 2011 (EDT)
- Yes, occasionally. Blue Ninjakoopa(Talk) 07:48, 25 July 2011 (EDT)
Character art
iirc the consensus reached was that a piece of "recent" art was to be used in the infobox, even if it postdates Brawl, and that earlier "comparison" art would be left-aligned in the character description header. Example: Mewtwo. Miles (talk) 15:11, 11 August 2011 (EDT)
- Mewtwo appeared in Brawl as a trophy, and his artwork is from FireRed & LeafGreen, a game released before Brawl. And I don't think consensus was reached at all. Blue Ninjakoopa(Talk) 15:27, 11 August 2011 (EDT)

- Don't really see the problem with him making a minor change to the description to make it more appropriate. And I don't see how this is related to editing others' comments. Omega Tyrant 00:02, 2 September 2011 (EDT)
- does that mean BC's undid edit by BNK was uneccesary? But I think 'better games than' and 'better than' is different ò.óLucas-IV- Combo God! 00:16, 2 September 2011 (EDT)
Diddy outfit
hithere. I've seen the Brawl palette swap page says that Diddy's second outfit is based on his alternate outfit from the Donkey Kong Country series, in case both players chose Diddy. This information is there since you created the page back in 2008, it seems, so I wanted to ask you if you're sure about this, because I can't find any source on the net to support that two players could chose the same character in DKCountry games.--Kombatgod (talk) 06:08, 9 February 2012 (EST)
- Diddy's and Donkey Kong's palette swap data was taken from a website (I've misplaced the url); I was able to back up info for the other characters but Diddy and Donkey Kong are a strange case to me since I've only played one of their games. You can remove the information if you would like to, since it is in the right to remove information that isn't sourced. Blue Ninjakoopa(Talk) 17:15, 17 February 2012 (EST)
Character page infobox images
I believe the standing setup was that the infobox's image was recent game art, and an older relevant design (or more than one) appeared under the character description header. (Also, it's great to see you back.) Miles (talk) 00:52, 19 February 2012 (EST)
- I was not aware of this. So if that is true, a few character articles require updates. And thanks. Blue Ninjakoopa(Talk) 01:34, 19 February 2012 (EST)
Rollback
Hi. I've noticed that you used to be a rollbacker, but don't have the rights anymore. Was this because your rights weren't carried over from SmashWikia? If so, I think you should ask Toomai to get it back again. PenguinofDeath's admin rights weren't carried over either, but when he returned to this SmashWiki, Toomai promoted him again instantly. The same should apply with your rollback. Toast ltimatum 07:57, 24 February 2012 (EST)
- All users with rollback on SmashWikia had to re-apply here; it's not like before where you had to go through basically the same process as requesting adminship.
- Also, BNK actually lost rollback before the switch; he had a rather bad reputation in the old days. Toomai Glittershine The Bold 08:57, 24 February 2012 (EST)
- So In that case he has to apply to requesting rollback again? ..... The Baneling 09:00, 24 February 2012 (EST)
- Not quite, he regained his rollback there after losing it. Omega Tyrant 09:09, 24 February 2012 (EST)
- What OT said, Toomai. Before the switch I maintained my rollback abilities, the only time I misused them was during the whole boxart fiasco, then I developed the habit of promoting discussion on an article's talk page before making what would be deemed a major (possibly controversial) change to the article itself. And thanks for your concern, Toast. Blue Ninjakoopa(Talk) 14:19, 24 February 2012 (EST)

Brawl tournament mode colours
I do not trust Brawl's tournament mode colour bar one bit. Not only do Samus's and Olimar's defaults get yellow when orange/brown is available, it uses the light blue/cyan/aqua colour for things like Ike's and Snake's default costumes. In the end though, I'm currently getting together resources to add tournament mode colour to the articles, so we can say it's a Light Blue Yoshi and show the funny colour as its tourney mode colour. Toomai Glittershine The Honcho 12:31, 26 November 2012 (EST)
- I think the color bar is ludicrous as well, especially given the examples you've provided, but I'm simply putting down what is shown in the game. That's why I put in parentheses (at least in an edit I can recall) the color as it is classified by the tournament mode. To provide an example, even though Samus' main palette is orange, I put in parentheses 'yellow.' As for what to properly call light blue, I'm just going by what's provided in the Wikipedia article. Blue Ninjakoopa(Talk) 12:50, 26 November 2012 (EST)
- Well that's why I'm going to be adding the tourney colours to the actual images in the near future (see Bowser's Melee one for the proof-of-concept), so we won't need the bracketed colours anymore. Toomai Glittershine The Zesty 12:53, 26 November 2012 (EST)
- OK, I see what you're doing. I can see the image in the upload history, but the main image still shows the palettes without the bars under them. It's probably the computer I'm using. Carry on. Blue Ninjakoopa(Talk) 12:55, 26 November 2012 (EST)

MK Ban
To my knowledge Meta Knight is no longer banned in Japan as Otori, Kakera, and RAIN are pretty dominant in Japan. The reason, Pit and Fox saw higher rise in the tier list is because of the different stage list and different mindsets/ playstyles regarding the characters. In Japan the stage list is as follows: Neutrals are FD, BF, and SV. Counterpicks are Lylat, Yoshi's Island and PS1. Naturally this allows characters such as Sheik, Fox, and Pit who do better on flatter, more neutral stages to rise higher on the tier list.
These characters also have more established Meta-games and matchup knowledge in Japan due to the different tournament mindset in Japan; tournaments have no entry fee (aside from venue fees), no monetary prizes, and no money matches as this is considered gambling (illegal in Japan). This removes the "cost" of entering a tournament with a lower tiered character. The MK ban has been removed for quite some time now, so I don't think its worth talking much about it, other than it is up to the TO's choice to ban MK or not.--BrianDon't try me! 14:04, 10 December 2012 (EST)
- Very well Brian, I was unaware of this (but did read somewhere that Japan is strict on what constitutes gambling). This information would fit well on the Japanese tier list page. Carry on. Blue Ninjakoopa(Talk) 14:57, 10 December 2012 (EST)
The "agreement" about official artwork in your talk page archives
Could you please provide a link to the "agreement" in your "talk page archives" that you mentioned in this edit summary? The discussion could be useful in determining what is to be done with official artwork on various character pages, such as Roy. Mousehunter321 (talk · contributions) 01:17, 3 January 2013 (EST)
- Archive 13, "So uh as a general rule." Even then, I don't consider it to be final. Roy shouldn't be a problem because his final appearance was in Melee as a playable character and he has a minor appearance in Brawl. I do remember that Roy has a sticker but that sticker is of him from his debut game. His newest artwork is irrelevant only because he isn't playable in Brawl. If he is to return in SSB4, with his design based on his appearance in his latest game, then we can put the image back up. blue ninjakoopa 01:20, 3 January 2013 (EST)
Character usage
This has been discussed before on the Kings of Cali 3 talk page. Like SmashBoards generally does, we're only listing characters people advanced with, regardless if they used their main or not. On the opposite end of the spectrum, yes, Hax did use Falcon against Nintendude, which Nintendude confirmed himself on the RoM 7 results thread. Hope you understand! PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 21:47, 11 April 2014 (EDT)
- Didn't know, should've read beyond the first post on the thread. Sorry for the inconvenience. blue ninjakoopa 22:02, 11 April 2014 (EDT)
Artwork
Could you give a reason why you want the old and crappy looking Brawl artwork in the info box other than "They don't need recent artwork"? ChuckNorris 17:04, 21 July 2014 (EDT)
- For Assist Trophies returning in SSB4, official artwork is OK, but for AT's only in Brawl, the official artwork from Brawl should be in the infobox while official artwork should either be absent or placed in the gallery. Stop acting like we're Wikipedia or something, we don't need "recent artwork" for NPCs. Blue Ninjakoopa 17:06, 21 July 2014 (EDT)
- Also, if you're going to put official artwork in the infobox for character fitting the criterion I prescribed, don't just sloppily place Brawl artwork under an irrelevant section so it fucks up all the formatting. Put it in a gallery. Blue Ninjakoopa 17:10, 21 July 2014 (EDT)
- I'm not "acting like we're Wikipedia". The majority of the Brawl Dojo artworks are really crappy .jpegs. You're acting like Assist Trophies are just minor NPCs with no affect on gameplay, when in actuality, they are a pretty important part of the game. It seems like you are just doing this out of personal preference, rather than what would actually be beneficial to the wiki. (As for the gallery note, yes I agree. I just missed that while reverting.) ChuckNorris 17:14, 21 July 2014 (EDT)
- "Really crappy" is your opinion, and saying something is "crappy" (in your opinion) doesn't make it invalid. I'm not "acting like they don't affect gameplay," I'm acknowledging that they're not nearly as important as actual characters or even stages. It's not "personal preference," it's for consistency, and you apparently don't know what's "beneficial to the wiki" anyway given your mindless reverts. Blue Ninjakoopa 17:17, 21 July 2014 (EDT)
- I'm not saying the artwork itself is crappy, just the quality of the pics. Yes, they aren't playable characters, but why exclude them from having regular artwork? How exactly are you doing this "for consistency" when almost every other NPC uses non-Smash series artwork? And instead of having a civil discusiion, you decide to use insults for some reason. ChuckNorris 17:25, 21 July 2014 (EDT)
- I'm trying to have a *civil discussion with you, and I didn't "use insults;" I called your reverts mindless because you failed the read my edit summary explaining why I made the changes to those articles (though I could have made the same summary for each edit I made). Quality of the pictures is fine, and the other NPCs use official artwork because of their appearances in later games and so readers can know from where said character's appearance was inspired. Official artwork is fine, but belongs in the gallery, and we should have more than 1 image for any of the characters unless their appearance drastically changes. Blue Ninjakoopa 17:34, 21 July 2014 (EDT)

Assist Trophy characters should use their official Brawl artwork, with relevant source series artwork in the origin section or gallery. It's the same reason we use official artwork on the character pages like Mario (SSB4): the Smash artwork takes priority. Since ATs don't have a separate page like Mario where the source series artwork takes precedence, it doesn't need to end up in the infobox. Miles (talk) 17:36, 21 July 2014 (EDT)
- But a page like Mario (SSB4) is only for Mario's appearance in one game. The Assist Trophy pages have info on every Smash game they appear in, which is why I believe that they should use non-Smash artwork. ChuckNorris 17:44, 21 July 2014 (EDT)
- A bit modified from my earlier position, but I think characters should use artwork from their most recent appearance in a Smash game. For example, when/if artwork of Starfy is released from SSB4, we'll replace the Brawl image you think is "crappy" with the undoubtedly higher quality SSB4 one. We can keep official artwork in origin/gallery sections, since Assist Trophy articles aren't as significant as smash character articles. Blue Ninjakoopa 17:47, 21 July 2014 (EDT)
- I can see what you're saying, but why not just use regular artwork? Sure, Assist Trophies aren't as "significant" as playable characters, but they are still important. Assist Trophy pages are about the character in general, not just one Smash appearance. ChuckNorris 17:54, 21 July 2014 (EDT)
- That'd probably be true if they were in all four games. Their lack of significance is precisely why we don't give them the same treatment we give actual playable characters. Blue Ninjakoopa 18:59, 21 July 2014 (EDT)

Pivoting
So you made a really critical error. The Pivoting article you added information about B-pivots is talking about an entirely different movement option all together. The pivot the article is supposed to talk about refers to how you can do any grounded move out of a dash dance. The pivot you are talking about is a "B-pivot" or "B-reverse." That information belongs here. I leave it to you to make the organization changes since I don't want to change your words.--BrianDon't try me! 11:13, 25 August 2014 (EDT)
- It's almost like someone who constantly claims to have considerable technical skill and knowledge about the series should try making edits about techniques himself instead of wasting his and everyone else's time by crying about changes made to Brawl and SSB4! :D
