Lucario tosses a Spiny Shell.
The Spiny Shell is an item in Super Smash Bros. 4. First seen in the April 2014 Nintendo Direct, it will hover above a given player for several seconds before dropping down on them. The item's effects on contact are still unknown.
Origin
This variation of a Blue Spiny Shell comes from the Mario Kart series, where it is a rare item that tears through the course and detonates upon reaching the leader.
