The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters. |
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted. |

Hi there!
Welcome to our wiki, and thank you for your contributions! There's a lot to do around here, so I hope you'll stay with us and make many more improvements.
- Recent changes is a great first stop, because you can see what other people are editing right this minute, and where you can help.
- Please sign in, if you haven't already, and create a user name! It's free, and it'll help you keep track of all your edits. See SmashWiki:Why create an account? for more info on creating an account.
- Questions? You can ask at the Help desk or on the "discussion" page associated with each article, or post a message on my talk page!
- Need help? The community portal has an outline of the site, and pages to help you learn how to edit.
I'm really happy to have you here, and look forward to working with you!
The Preview Button
When making multiple edits to a page, there is a preview button right next to the save page button that let's you see the page before saving it. Please use this instead of making multiple edits to one page so that it doesn't clog the recent changes log with multiple edits. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 17:50, 21 April 2012 (EDT)
Speculation
If you're going to add something you're not sure of, here's a hint. If it's about how SSB/Melee/Brawl have a reference to a game released after it, don't add it. If it is related to anything you have not played in over a month, don't add it. And if the thing you're adding is a piece of information that is very stretched, don't add it.
TL;DR Don't add info about references unless you're 100%-85% sure of it. MegaTron1XD 18:06, 21 April 2012 (EDT)
