Forum:Smash Arena
Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome, editors and users, to the Smash Arena! Each week this forum hosts a tussle between two characters from the Super Smash Bros. series! The winner gets, well, nothing. It's more of a poll but functionally, this is a popularity contest. You may vote for your favorite or who you think would win in an competition between the two combatants that round. No, you don't have to vote for the character with strength & power, just vote if you are a total fanboy of the character. So what are you waiting for? Get voting! Remember, you can remain anonymous! If you have any requests for future fights, please feel free to leave a message here.
The Rules
- When voting, you can give a brief comment on why you voted the way you did, or you can just leave your signature.
- You can only vote once. Any multiple votes will be removed.
- Put a
#
before your vote to facilitate the vote counting. - Type
~~~~
after your vote to sign it, whether you are logged in or not. Using the wrong number of "~"s counts as not signing - your signature must have both your signature itself and the time. - There is a line in each section consisting of "DO NOT ADD COMMENTS OR EDIT ANYTHING BELOW THIS LINE". You are to do so; do not just type your vote at the bottom of the editing window. Not following this rule results in your vote being displayed in the wrong place.
- Put your vote below other votes; that is, so the votes are in chronological order.
- Any comments about the fight should be left in the comment section. It is recommended that you do not post argumentative, accusative, or any sort of comment with the intention of starting an argument with someone on the opposing side. The Smash Arena is a popularity contest, there's no need to argue with the other side on why your choice is superior, or why they are wrong with their reasoning for picking their choice. It is also recommended that you do not post comments that are just pointing out/complaining how close/one sided a matchup is. These sort of comments are worthless, and do nothing but make an already large page larger.
- You may only vote in the current fight; all previous fights are closed.
- Do not leave a space between your comment and the ones above it (and/or below it).
- If there are multiple fights in a single round, try to make all your votes in a single edit.
If your vote is not added correctly - that is, it breaks rules 3, 4, or 5 - you have one hour to fix it. After this time, it may be moved by any user to the Half-Votes section (adding the unsigned template if necessary), and it will count as half a vote. Attempting to move your vote out of the Half-Votes section may result in it being worth zero at an operator's discretion. In addition, if your votes-to-rulebreaks ratio climbs too high, your votes may count for zero until the ratio drops to an acceptable level.
Intentional half-votes undermine the intent of the half-vote system as a way to punish voters for voting incorrectly. It is legal to want a vote to be worth half, but it is very heavily discouraged, and you must state in your vote you want it to be worth half.
Round 97: Falco (SSBM) vs. Falco (SSBB)
Winner!! undecided 0 to 0 |
Out of the clones from Melee, Falco's had arguably the most changes for Brawl; yet he remains near the top of the tier list in both games. Which incarnation is more liked? | |||||
Wow. I really didn't think this would turn up. I refuse to vote in this fight, as I said in my Suggestions opposition. Fighting yourself, just stupid. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 18:00, 29 July 2011 (EDT)
CommentsWell this is somewhat one-sided. Gulpin already has 12 votes and Munchlax has absolutely none! --81.158.119.48 05:00, 23 July 2011 (EDT) Could this be the first unanimous poll on the wiki? I don't want to see any sympathy votes! ToastUltimatum Complaints Box 08:51, 23 July 2011 (EDT)
@Vote 23 - Munchlax is from Generation 3. Ever played Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness on Gamecube? --FireEmblemFan275 (talk) 15:18, 23 July 2011 (EDT)
Munchlax is a Gen IV Pokemon, but the anime introduced it while Gen III was still underway. Ruby & Sapphire did not have any data for Munchlax, and so could not be used in the games (or playability in the spinoffs, as they could sometimes connect with the main games), but as the Pokemon undeniably existed, Game Freak thought Munchlax might as well have had some cameos, such as its appearances in XD and Dash. The same thing happened with Lucario, Bonsly, maybe Mime Jr. and Weavile. ToastUltimatum Complaints Box 13:17, 27 July 2011 (EDT) |
