Hey.
Stop making so many forums at such a consistent rate. If you'd like to discuss different topics in one forum, do so by giving the names of each topic in the title or in the forum itself (the latter option is what I recommend). Also, work on your grammar. Thank you! BNK [E|T|C] 18:09, June 16, 2010 (UTC)
- Also, please don't bump nine month old forums to add no actual content. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 18:49, June 16, 2010 (UTC)
- Wait, what's wrong with too many forums and bumping 9 month old forums. If the forums don't exist, then why don't you just delete them?! Doc King (talk) 19:36, June 16, 2010 (UTC)
- It's because SmashWiki is not intended for forum-ing, as it acts as a sink to actually improving the wiki, plus there's far better sites for such. Toomai Glittershine The Stats Guy 19:48, June 16, 2010 (UTC)
- Look, I'm at the point of not caring if there is actual good forum use going on. That said, making one line OPs about every little thing you think is unacceptable even on a dedicated forum site. Also, bumping old forums is fine if you have something new to add to the discussions. But simply bumping to +1 the consensus that a forum has reached is not good forum etiquette. Can i ask you something?
How can you add those tier lists in those forums? I wanna make one. Zeldasmash (talk) 18:17, June 18, 2010 (UTC)
- Zeldasmash, before you get yourself into trouble, read SW:NOT. Omega Tyrant 18:21, June 18, 2010 (UTC)
- If he wants to discus some tier lists he's made, I don't think that's a problem per se. That said, make sure to make actual compelling posts about why you have the tier lists and don't get defensive to the point of flaming when people disagree with you. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 19:20, June 18, 2010 (UTC)
- Zeldasmash, you can just go to a tier list and go to edit, and then, you can just copy the stuff that's needed to make the list and then you can organize it by color, tiers, characters' orders, etc. Doc King (talk) 13:37, June 19, 2010 (UTC)
Your question about deleting
I thought it would be better to put this here than Megatron1's talk page, where you asked how to delete stuff. The answer is this: you can't delete things yourself, but you can ask that they be deleted by putting {{delete|reason}} or {{d|reason}} at the top of it (replacing "reason" with why you think it should be deleted). See here for details. Toomai Glittershine The Table Designer 15:34, June 19, 2010 (UTC)
Recovery Suggestions
Falco needs to be raised to about 16, Ganondorf needs to be lowered to about 10, and Kirby needs to be raised to about 13.-Ivy73 23:33, June 19, 2010 (UTC)
- I don't think Ganon should be lowered but I kindof agree with the others. Doc King (talk) 23:43, June 19, 2010 (UTC)
Adding this here to make sure you see it
Please start putting more effort into your forum posts. A (sub)title and a one line OP is not good posting. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 05:15, June 20, 2010 (UTC)
Pro
While I'm flattered that you call me a pro, I'm not one according to the definition of the term as I have yet to be in an actual tournament. As such, I don't know if I'm at a professional level, but I can't be considered one until I have enter some actual tournaments. Omega Tyrant 14:12, June 20, 2010 (UTC)
- Well, zeldasmash told me that u were pro and so I thought u were. I know were not pros but were pretty good at this game. Also what's ur wii code? Doc King (talk) 14:14, June 20, 2010 (UTC)
I put the tier list
I put the tier list in your pages. You can make the changes now. Zeldasmash (talk) 21:09, June 20, 2010 (UTC)
- Word to the wise: don't mess with other people's user pages. I can't find any instance of him asking you to do this, so I'm going to revert it. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 22:31, June 20, 2010 (UTC)

Understand the Rules
Maybe you should read our policies. You seem to be showing a lack of understanding of some of them. You aren't supposed to remove content from talk pages (if you change your mind about something you say cross it out by putting it in between <s> and </s> tags), and you aren't supposed to attack people. If you don't stop, one the admins will ban you. Dr. Pain 99 Talk 01:28, June 25, 2010 (UTC)

- I want to help you with the upcoming tier lists. Zeldasmash (talk) 18:51, July 2, 2010 (UTC)
Your fourm posts.
Please start putting more effort into your posts. A single line and a title is not an acceptable OP, and "yeah, I agree" adds nothing to the discussion. Please actually try to start the discussion with your OPs. Link to a video that shows what you're talking about, discuss the properties of the moves you think are important, describe a match-up that proves a point, or just try to answer your own question. Whatever you do, an OP should never be shorter than what I have written here, and that is rather short in an of itself. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 21:00, July 7, 2010 (UTC)
- Oh, and this is unacceptable. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 02:32, July 8, 2010 (UTC)
- Ok, I will try to make my forums better and what was so bad about what I said to the person who sweared? I was just helping him so he doesn't get banned and so he knows the rules of Smash Wiki. So does that mean I can't correct ppl then? Doc King (talk) 04:31, July 8, 2010 (UTC)
- @Doc King: you can help people to try not to get banned. However, you went the wrong way about it. First, don't say Clarinet Hawk will ban you; you shouldn't threat an anonymous user with a ban, and it's not fair to Clarinet Hawk that you specifically used his name. Second, don't bother warning IPs whose only edit is clearly vandalsim; it won't solve anything. Third, you were a little late on that post; the user was already banned. I'm not sure which one of these caused CHawk to say it was unacceptable, but if youre going to warn users, don't do It the way you did. Dr. Pain 99 Talk 04:56, July 8, 2010 (UTC)
- Also, while swearing is frowned upon here in Smashwiki, there are no rules against it. You can ask Semicolon to provide an argument, but he's not currently active. Mr. Anon teh awsome 05:36, July 8, 2010 (UTC)
- Ok, sorry Clarinet, I didn't mean to make you look bad or anything, i was just trying to help out. Doc King (talk) 14:39, July 8, 2010 (UTC)
- I'm not worried about that, I did ban that guy, so that's not the issue. In general, however, don't backseat mod. Let an admin know about something, and we'll look into it. Posting right below like that is just a good way to stir things up. Also, when I add the temp ban, that means I've already seen it. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 18:42, July 8, 2010 (UTC)

Doc King aren't we supposed to be working with the matchup changes? Oh and by the way, put comments 4 next to the video comment at the top of the forum. Zeldasmash (talk) 01:19, July 10, 2010 (UTC)

Doc's Matchups
I will let you do Doc's matchups and Ganondorf's matchups if you like. I will take care of Link and Mewtwo's matchups. Zeldasmash (talk) 16:30, July 10, 2010 (UTC)
WTF to Mewtwo!?
Why did you lower Mewtwo to mid tier? Zeldasmash (talk) 17:03, July 10, 2010 (UTC)
- Well, many ppl were arguing that Mewtwo was easy to KO and so I was in training mode and then I relized that he is somewhat easy to KO so he moved down. Doc King (talk) 17:08, July 10, 2010 (UTC)
- So what?. Don't you know he has more recovery options than most of the cast and did you see that video i left in the page (the on with the square)?. Zeldasmash (talk) 17:10, July 10, 2010 (UTC)
- Well couldn't see the vid but you can change the list if you want, any1 can! Doc King (talk) 17:11, July 10, 2010 (UTC)
Things are getting out of hand
Everyone keeps complaining about the tier list. Should i increase the size the tier list so they can understand that we are trying. Zeldasmash (talk) 15:41, July 12, 2010 (UTC)
- People are not complaining, they are criticising your prediction for the next tier list. As I told you on the IRC, if you didn't want people criticising your list, you should not have posted it outside your userspace. Either learn to properly deal with criticism or do not post a made up tier list in a forum ever again. By posting it in the forum, you are showing that you want people's opinion on it and you should expect people to have a different opinion than yours. You should know that people are likely to disagree with you and it's your own fault if you didn't prepare yourself for it. As such, before posting another tier list outside your userspace, be prepared to deal with criticism and come up with valid arguments to support your opinion. Omega Tyrant 17:27, July 12, 2010 (UTC)
- Even if you post it in your userspace, people can and will criticize it. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 17:41, July 12, 2010 (UTC)

- It wasn't needed. It's like adding "Kirby is the only Kirby Series characer".--MegaTron1XD 23:53, July 12, 2010 (UTC)
- But I think that Zelda should at least have a few trivia facts to her page and the stuff there was true. Doc King (talk) 23:55, July 12, 2010 (UTC)

Exactly how did you get the idea that this was a good post. I know you're right, but that guy was clearly trolling. Responding to those kind of edits just causes trouble. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 23:01, July 18, 2010 (UTC)
Your block
I have asked you many times to start putting more effort into your forum posts, especially the OPs. Instead, you continue to post one line responses and OPs with no content. Don't just say, I think Mario is going to rise because this guy got 2nd with him. Explain why that guy got second, and what about it will translate to Mario being more effective in the metagame. Describe his characteristics and how those make him a valuable character. A forum is only as good as the OP, and as none of your forums have had good OPs. While writing this, I realized that you probably thought you were putting actual content in by linking the video and saying this guy got 2nd. Therefore, I am shortening your ban, but I do want you to understand that one mention of a tourney and a link to a youtube video is not an acceptable OP. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 14:09, July 22, 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry about that, I will put more effort into forums from now on. Now I'm going to edit more of that forum. Doc King (talk) 14:22, July 22, 2010 (UTC)

Your block
You have been blocked for apparently refusing to listen to and accept reasonable arguments in discussions (such as tier list discussions). You seem to have little sense of importance (constantly thinking things are more or less important then they actually are) and your arguments have no proof other than rather minor/unimportant videos. I suggest you find better proof for your claims and learn to argue before you enter another argument. Toomai Glittershine 02:30, August 1, 2010 (UTC)
- Ok, sorry Toomai, I was just pointing out some good reasons. It's not a big deal! Doc King (talk) 02:37, August 1, 2010 (UTC)
- No, you were not "pointing out some good reasons." You were simply stating something you believed with no justification, then responding to people by simply restating your argument without any further argument. You have been warned for this many times, dating back to before you even made an account. Go back and look at our discussion in the Mario thread. Off the top of my head, the total length of your posts is equivalent to about two of mine, and we were going one for one and I wasn't full out wall-of-texting. From now on, when you post, I expect to see actual content to your posts. If you think Scorpion Master is redefining the metagame in favor of Mario, explain how. Don't just link to a video, give specific times in the video where technique/strategy X is being used and why that is important to the metagame. Give examples of how and why that will continue to occur and work throughout the Melee scene. We're not telling you to stop making arguments about how the tier list should change, but telling you that there is a certain level of information and effort that should go into such arguments. Your IRC ban
Your behaviour on the IRC today was pretty pitiful. Now, it may partially be because there were others there responding to your arguments, but it's still primarily your fault in the end.
Now, if you're interested in being on the IRC again, the process will begin as such: First, you will state here why you think you were banned. Do not bring other users into your argument. If your memory is fuzzy, the segment of the conversation I recorded can be found here. Toomai Glittershine 20:13, August 5, 2010 (UTC)
- Well, ive thought ive been banned cause of the arguements and you guys are sick of me. Is that correct? Doc King (talk) 20:16, August 5, 2010 (UTC)
- Close. You were banned because you not only called people "tier whores" (regardless of who those people are), but you proceeded to use personal attacks on Zeldasmash. Having an argument isn't a problem as long as you stay civil, which you clearly did not. Now, you also tended to contradict yourself. This isn't related to your block, but why do you constantly appear to be (for lack of a better word) a hypocrite? You say "admins are not kings" but proceed to say they're "god tier", for example. - That's good; nobody likes it when people aren't making sense. That leads into the next point: Why are you so convinced that the tier list is wrong? Admittedly the current one is rather old and there's talk of a new one, but your opinions are wildly divergent from what everyone else seems to be saying. There's nothing wrong with having a differing opinion, but answer this: Considering that it's your opinion against the combined opinions of tens of thousands of professionals, why is it you think that you're right and they're wrong? - Why do you think that? The tier list is a combination of a ton of opinions and tournament results. At least one pro would have said what you just typed. Toomai Glittershine 20:42, August 5, 2010 (UTC)

- What I said was very hurtful and untruthful to some of the admins on the Wiki. Also what I complained about wasn't really necessary. Doc King (talk) 02:04, August 9, 2010 (UTC)
- It's like I'm walking you through this. See everything you did wrong. Give some kind of wall of text or something. It doesn't have to take a min. Take as long as you want. State what you did wrong, how it was wrong, and what you plan on doing later to improve.--MegaTron1XD 02:06, August 9, 2010 (UTC)

- Ok, so what I did wrong was argue and talk trash about people like ZS, C. Hawk, and Salad. I also wasn't paying attention to people Aand was continuously arguing with ppl. I even overreacted to things I've shouldn't have. It is wrong because it makes users mad and offended, it claims people as bad, and it basically makes a whole rampage. What I'll plan on doing later is basically go back in time (and what i mean is being nicer to people, not arguing as much (unless if it's a serious offense), and respect some things, even though I disagree with them). So in conclusion, I'll please want to have IRC back and to become friends again (like old times)! Doc King (talk) 02:32, August 9, 2010 (UTC)

Your block
Seeing you most recent edit to User talk:Zeldasmash, you deserve to be blocked according to SW:NPA. Toomai Glittershine 20:17, August 5, 2010 (UTC)
- ZS Fucking tried to attack on me by saying "oh, you cant insult someone cause he's an admin!" or "Do that again and you're going to get banned" and stuff lite that! so why the hell is he not blocked!? Doc King (talk) 20:30, August 5, 2010 (UTC)
- Because (a) he did it in a civil way and (b) he may not have known about the somewhat-unwritten rule about not discussing blocks. Discussing blocks isn't really a blockable offense anyway. Toomai Glittershine 20:34, August 5, 2010 (UTC)
DK, please stop. If you keep getting banned, you might end up with a permablock. I don't want that to happen to you. If you don't like how he's treating you, politely tell him to stop, not like this. I thought we were all friends. Mr. Anon teh awsome 20:40, August 5, 2010 (UTC)

No, I'm not going to unblock you. You made bad choices and will face the consequences. Now, it's possible another admin will think your block is for too long, and they're free to shorten it a bit, but you're not getting a second free unblock. Toomai Glittershine 21:02, August 5, 2010 (UTC)
- Fine! If you let a User try to tell me what to do when I can't do the same, then im just gonna leave then! And don't bother telling me to come back when you need me cause i won't bother helping you! Do everything yourselves im outta here for a while! If you want me back then unblock me and don't treat me like crap! Cause thats Bullshit what ZS did to me!! Doc King (talk) 21:09, August 5, 2010 (UTC)
IRC ban!

Your wiki block ends on the 12th. I don't intend to unblock you from the IRC until that day at the earliest - unless you can provide a very good reason for needing the privilege. Oh, and you really should be patient. Wanting someone to "unbanned" you does nothing to help your cause. Toomai Glittershine 02:03, August 9, 2010 (UTC)

Exclamation points!
Stop using them as often as you are. It is completely unnecessary and extremely annoying. Toomai Glittershine 17:44, August 13, 2010 (UTC)
- How are they unnecessary? Not that it's a big deal, but I'm just wondering. Doc King (talk) 17:48, August 13, 2010 (UTC)
- Using !'s at the end of every sentence makes it seem like you're being loud, similar to using ALL CAPS. But while using all caps is more like yelling in anger, using !'s is more like being obnoxious. Toomai Glittershine 17:52, August 13, 2010 (UTC)
Don't.
Stop editing Megatron1's userpage. First of all, he's saying your arguments "aren't any good", not that they "suck"; and second of all, it's his opinion, and therefore you have no right to change/remove it. It is also not a personal attack because it is directed at your arguments, not you. Finally, it's a general (somewhat unwritten) rule that users never edit other users' userpages unless there's something that breaks Wikia's terms of service or something. Toomai Glittershine 23:03, September 17, 2010 (UTC)
- Oh, and because you've edited it four times now, you have to be blocked for edit warring. Toomai Glittershine 23:04, September 17, 2010 (UTC)
Your new block
Well, you blew it once again. After being blocked for a day for edit warring another user's userpage, you go and rage on the DK Wiki's IRC. To be blunt, you are not the kind of person we like to have around here. You anger too easily, you seem to have a hard time listening to other people, and you in general act like a jerk. Your edits to the wiki are acceptable, but you need to get a better attitude. Toomai Glittershine 00:20, September 18, 2010 (UTC)
Why are you altering the SSBB 1st tier list table?
I can see you're rather determined to attempt to center this table. But it cannot be centered perfectly, so trying to do so makes it look off-center anyway. Because of this, it's best to leave it in a "skewed" state. Also, if you disagree with someone's edit, you should never revert it more than once without going to the talk page first. Toomai Glittershine 12:46, 16 October 2010 (EDT)

IRC
Can we talk in the IRC. Zeldasmash (talk) 14:50, 25 October 2010 (EDT)
"ZS approves of this"
The above is not a valid reason to make a revert unless the community agrees that said user is one of the top authorities in the field. Toomai Glittershine 16:12, 27 October 2010 (EDT)
Weight tables
No, we cannot make the weight tables look like the tier list tables. I already tried months ago, and it didn't look good at all, especially since the Melee table has two different orders (which is guarenteed to make one of the columns' colours look jumbled). Toomai Glittershine 13:09, 30 October 2010 (EDT)
- Before you revert it, check my improvement of the middle weight tier, all of the characters are lined up. Doc King (talk) 13:12, 30 October 2010 (EDT)
- That's not what I meant. If we do the SSB64 list in that style, we would have to do the others for consistency. But in that consistency the SSBM table would look bad. Therefore, we should keep things in their current not-interesting-looking-but-completely-functional format. Toomai Glittershine 13:14, 30 October 2010 (EDT)
- Wait, we can make 2 weight lists for Melee, one that's labeled NTSC and one that's labeled PAL. Doc King (talk) 13:16, 30 October 2010 (EDT)
- That isn't really necessary when the current system works perfectly fine, especially how you can use the sorting function to see how things changed. Toomai Glittershine 13:18, 30 October 2010 (EDT)
Also, whenever you use a <center> tag, you have to finish it with a </center> tag, or the rest of the page will get messed up. Toomai Glittershine 13:18, 30 October 2010 (EDT)
SW:1RV
In the future, do not undo reverts. If you disagree with their reason of reverting, then please bring it up on the talk page. Thanks. Mr. Anon (talk) 13:32, 30 October 2010 (EDT)
^ Read this. You have the tendency to revert the undos of your edits far too often. Violate the policy again by starting another edit war, and you'll be blocked. We were willing to give you another chance on the Smash Wiki, don't screw it up. Omega Tyrant 13:39, 30 October 2010 (EDT)

Doc, aren't you supposed to finish the chart i asked you? Zeldasmash (talk) 14:44, 31 October 2010 (EDT)
Keep up
You use you in articles, you complain about userpages, and improperly capitalized things. Catch up to things that occured months ago.--MegaTron1XD 22:04, 31 October 2010 (EDT)
- Are you actually trying to make him catch up about what happened before so he can get blocked again? Zeldasmash (talk) 15:11, 2 November 2010 (EDT)
- Not only does what you just said make little if any sense, but it's a bad idea in general to talk about users being blocked. Toomai Glittershine 15:18, 2 November 2010 (EDT)
- What you said made little to no sense. I can summarize what you tried to say though, "Are you trying to get him blocked again?" For one, how does telling him about his faults even make him a canidate for a minute block? The faults he makes makes other users loathe him. I need to fix his edits. Do I like spending a few minutes of my life fixing his edits? No. No one wants to fix another users edits because they feel like it. I have to remove you, remove improper capitalization, and keep him up with things. I tried to tell him months ago that userpages are not the property of the user, therefore, insults are not allowed. He attempts to bring up the reason he was blocked again as justification, when he has been told multiple times. Not to mention, he has complained about his block on Smash Wikia. I made the topic of DK's channel "You can come back Doc" and for several weeks, even though he is on there, he doesn't pay attention. I am trying to tell him to keep up to become a better user. Criticism is important to improvement. I even made a whole blog about it and it is the best I've ever made. And before you criticise someone, at least make some sense. Your post made little sense.--MegaTron1XD 18:33, 2 November 2010 (EDT)
Hi
I highly reccomend that you archive your talk page. Doctor Pain 99 (CTE) 19:21, 2 November 2010 (EDT)
You quitting...
I noticed one of your reasons for quitting is because people revert your edits often. How much must I tell you that we don't revert your edits because you made them, but because they are often faulty or unnecessary? One piece of advice I can give anyone working on a Wiki, do not take it personally when an edit of yours gets reverted. Even top contributors get edits of theirs reverted from time to time, and I myself will revert a faulty edit whenever I come across one, regardless of who made it. Also, in case you didn't know, while a Wiki is a place anyone can edit, it's not a place to put whatever information you want, so don't expect your edits to never get reverted. Omega Tyrant 01:15, 5 November 2010 (EDT)
- Well it's mostly Mega who reverts my edits for no reason, like remember the skull bash talk, ppl were constantly ignoring me while I said that saying that it can hit backwards was not nessesary for the article and you were the only one who actually agreed with me and didn't put any dumbass johns to not listen to what I've said about that section. Also how's your heart? Doc King (talk) 14:51, 5 November 2010 (EDT)
- That was one of a good 2 that were reverted for no reason. The others were reverted on the basis that it was like that before and if an established user changed it before you reverted their edits basically (Toomai and such), then it should be left as so. When your edit has been reverted before, I follow suit. However, you have to realize that I merely hate you and vice versa. The fact that I commonly revert things and am wrong does not show that I am a good reason to quit. I myself expect myself to be held in low opionion, as my edits are reverted due to edit wars or incorrect capitalization. You yourself should not quit simply because someone reverted your edits numerous times. OT has reverted many edits and no one has quit because he did so. I already don't care about who the fuck makes the edit. However, I am biased and should be expected to. I view lower ranked users with not so great reputations like you, Mesuxelf, and the like as inferior and deserve to have their edits reverted more often. The results? Mostly justified reverts, but a few are messed. Already, I don't want to bother with that kind of shit because of the problems that can arise from that. However, every user has a chance to fuck up and should have their edits reverted. Granted, I revert your edits the most and the other's sparringly or in the case of OT, let them revert their revert with an explaination. However, that does not mean that most of them are for no reason at all. Several had had problems. Look at my moves. They were incorrect and Miles reverted them. Am I quitting? No. Now lets look at you. You make a bad edit that makes the article worse, I revert it. Older people should have more wisdom than an older person and to me, it just seems that you're quitting because you're pissed at the community, ie me, because of several events on Wiki. So, what can you do? Contribute to the smash scene. We only have at most 3 users who can do so. Investigate the smash scene and you can contribute. The reasons that make sense for quitting is feeling that this is a job that gives you squat. Reverting edits often, getting warnings, getting in fights with me, and the like are not as good a reason to quit. Learn from those mistakes and come out a better person. As you can see on my talk page, I'm learning from my hateful n00b attitude that what I am currently doing accomplishes nothing and only creates problems. I learn from that and decided to stop being like that. Why can't you simply learn from mistakes and get better?--MegaTron1XD 18:18, 5 November 2010 (EDT)
- Doc, come on man. Just because they revert your edits and treat you like shit your quitting? Dude, i understand what you are feeling, they do the same shit to me most of the time. And do i care? No. You are a user. Everyone will have an edit reverted sometime. Its frustrating, i know, but reverting the edit makes you learn what you misspelled, edit incorrectly or its not worthy. Doc, your pretty much like me, but quitting does not solve anything. I'm still here, and they did it to me most of the time. Doc, if you learn from your mistakes, you will get better. Good day Doc.
