- Piranha Plant and Kazuya are the only playable antagonists not to be a selectable character in the event.
- Sephiroth was also not selectable during the initial tourney as he was not released at the time, but was made available when it was repeated.
- Lucina is the only Echo Fighter that is not selectable, but the base fighter is.
- The fighters representing the villains on the banner are also the fighters who appear in both the The Rivals and Best Friends trailers for Ultimate, in which they serve as "arch-rivals" to their universes' protagonists.
- This was the first Event Tourney to be repeated following the conclusion of DLC development for the game.
- This was also the first Event Tourney to be repeated twice.
