Trivia
- This was the first Online Tourney event to feature team battles, as well as allow amiibo to participate.
- This was also the first time in the entire Smash series to allow team battles in any of the games' Tourney modes.
- Dark Samus, Richter and every character in Fighters Pass 1 and 2 had their amiibo released after the tournament's first run and thus were not available as amiibo teammates.
- amiibo not at level 50 wouldn't level up, like most online modes.[5]
- Despite players being unable to taunt, the amiibo still could.
- Due to an error, amiibo wouldn't appear in the 2022 repeat of the event. This was eventually fixed.[6]
