Trivia
- This event is one of four 8-Player Smash events in the game along with The Ultimate Swordsman, Peach in Peril, and Visiting Onett.
- Selecting a customized Yoshi with an alternate costume for this event may result in multiple Yoshis having the same costume.
- This event mimics the Yoshi Team fight from Smash 64 (fought in 1P Game) and Melee (fought in Stage 1 of Adventure) and the Yoshi Team events from Melee and Brawl (including Event 24: The Yoshi Herd, Event 11: Yoshi's Rainbow, and Co-Op Event 5: The Yoshi Team of 50).
- Also, like in the Melee event Event 24: The Yoshi Herd, both that event and Smash 4's King of the Yoshis take place on the same stage (that being Yoshi's Island).
- And by extension, like in Brawl's Event 11: Yoshi's Rainbow, there is multiple Yoshis (one in every color) for a total of 6 or 7 Yoshis (well, a mini team of Yoshis --one in every color).
- Also, like in the Melee event Event 24: The Yoshi Herd, both that event and Smash 4's King of the Yoshis take place on the same stage (that being Yoshi's Island).
