Fiora (フィオルン, Fiorung), known as Mecha-Fiora in her half-Mechon form, is a character from the Xenoblade universe.

Origin

Fiora in her Homs form.

Fiora is Dunban's younger sister and childhood friend of Shulk and Reyn. As she tends to Dunban and his injury sustained from overusing the Monado, it is quickly established that she is Shulk's love interest. When the Mechon attack Colony 9, she is seemingly killed by Metal Face in its defense, which is the main factor spurring Shulk to begin his journey of revenge. It is later revealed that she was not killed, but rather captured and turned into a Homs-Mechon hybrid used to control Face Nemesis, in addition to having her body shared and controlled by an agent of Mechonis. Shulk and his friends eventually rescue her, where she regains control of her body and joins the party for the remainder of the game.

While Fiora usually abhors fighting and violence, she is extremely protective of her friends and family, willing to do whatever it takes to stop whatever danger is upon them. Her soft spot for Shulk is evident (to everyone except him), always cooking for him despite his apparent lack of taste and continually trying to help him be a nicer and more open person.

As a Homs, Fiora's battle strategy is much the same as Shulk's: avoid attracting attention while dealing high damage from behind. She however is not given the same assortment of arts or weapons that other characters are, owing to how she "dies" early on and is removed from gameplay for a substantial portion of the plot. When she returns as Mecha-Fiora, she has an entirely new set of arts as well as a highly varied selection of equipment, which when combined appropriately allows her to either retain her damage role or take on a more tankier one. Her strength is also her weakness: she has many skills that rely on having high tension (morale), so it's easy for her to stay strong from a good start while also finding it hard to recover from a poor showing.

Mecha-Fiora
In the hand-fought battle to save Colony 9 from the Mechon, it looked very much like Fiora had sacrificed her life. When she finally appeared before Shulk again, she'd not only been taken to Mechonis and given a new mechanized form, she'd become a vessel for the Mechonis's soul. Only later does she regain her own personality.

In Smash Tour

In Smash Tour, Mecha-Fiora is a red item. A player using Mecha-Fiora at the beginning of a battle will cause them to deal increased damage and knockback as they take damage. The effect stacks with Aura and rage.

As a costume
