Mr. R is a Sheik main from the Netherlands. He is considered to be one of the best Sheik players in Smash 4 (along with ZeRo and VoiD), having won several major tournaments as well as other top placings, including a 3rd place finish at Apex 2015, a 2nd place finish at EVO 2015, and a 2nd place finish at Shots Fired 2, where even though he failed to defeat Nairo in set 2 of grand finals, he started the first set with an incredible double 2-stock on Nairo's Zero Suit Samus. He is also known for developing the Sheik metagame and being a master of the Sheik ditto. Mr. R (along with ZeRo, Nairo, Dabuz, VoiD, Ranai, and Ally) is considered to be among the best players in Smash 4. He is currently ranked 1st on the Dutch Smash 4 Power Rankings.

He is a Marth main in Brawl. He is often compared to French Marth player Leon. He also plays Snake, Zero Suit Samus, Link, and Meta Knight. He is known for his incredibly flashy style of play and is considered to be the best player in Europe. Mr. R also stars in Messiah (a combo video by Mr. R edited by Izaw) and is considered one of the best combo videos up to date. He has taken sets off top players such as Vinnie, Dabuz, ADHD, ESAM, mikeHAZE, Bloodcross, Salem, and Anti.
