Bayonetta is an upcoming character in Super Smash Bros. 4. She will be available as a downloadable content playable character in February 2016. She is the sixth third party character to be introduced in the game, following fellow SEGA character Sonic, Capcom's Mega Man and Ryu, Bandai Namco's Pac-Man and Square Enix's Cloud. Bayonetta was elected after the Smash Bros. Fighter Ballot, where she was the most voted for character in Europe and worldwide, and was among the top 5 in North America.

Bayonetta's voice actor, Hellena Taylor, will reprise her role in Super Smash Bros. 4.
