(1. The characters can be unlocked in any order. 2. That doesn't make any sense. 3. What exactly does that have to do with the event?)

*This event is also a reference to how Jigglypuff and Mr. Game and Watch were unlocked in [[Super Smash Bros. Melee]]. Jigglypuff was the first [[unlockable character]]; Mr. Game and Watch was the last one.  If counting Jigglypuff as unlocked first then the rest of the characters before Mr. Game and Watch the order would start with {{SSBM|Jigglypuff}} being the 1st unlockable character, and then {{SSBM|Luigi}} (as the 2nd  one), {{SSBM|Dr. Mario}} (as the 3rd), {{SSBM|Young Link}} (as the 4th), {{SSBM|Ganondorf}} (as the 5th), {{SSBM|Marth}} (as the 6th), {{SSBM|Roy}} (as the 7th), {{SSBM|Falco}} (as the 8th), {{SSBM|Pichu}} (as the 9th), {{SSBM|Mewtwo}} (as the 10th), and {{SSBM|Mr. Game and Watch}} (as the last unlockable character). Jigglypuff and Mr. Game and Watch in this co-op event may serve like bookends unlockable characters in Super Smash Bros MELEE.  And they mark being the very first unlockable character (Jigglypuff) and very last one (Mr. Game and Watch) to be unlocked in the 2nd installment.

Jigglypuff's Great Comeback (プリンの大逆転, Purin's Great Comeback) is the 16th co-op event match out of a total of 21 in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. In this match, Jigglypuff and Mr. Game & Watch start as tiny characters, while Lucas and Ness are giant. As Castle Siege changes tiers, Jigglypuff starts to grow and Lucas and Ness shrink. After the stage changes to the third tier, Jigglypuff is giant, while Lucas and Ness are tiny.

  • 1st tier: Jigglypuff & Mr. Game & Watch small, Ness & Lucas giant.
  • 2nd tier: Jigglypuff, Ness, & Lucas normal, Mr. Game & Watch small.
  • 3rd tier: Jigglypuff giant, Ness, Lucas, & Mr. Game & Watch small.

Trivia

  • The song for this event match is Balloon Trip, otherwise unavailable on Castle Siege. This may be in reference to Jigglypuff's species in the Pokémon series being the "Balloon Pokémon".
  • This event match is the only one in Brawl which requires one of the players to select Jigglypuff; this also occurs with Luigi instead in his event.
