8-Player Smash is a gameplay mode in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. This mode allows eight players to play on the same stage at one time. In addition to red, blue, yellow, and green indicators for players 1-4, players 5-8 receive new indicators colored orange, cyan, purple, and slate respectively. In Team Battles, an additional team color, the yellow team, can be selected.
Players can do time or stock matches in 8-Player Smash, but Coin Battles are omitted from the game mode.

Trivia
- Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS includes various unused elements within its data for 8-player Smash.
- While Ω forms of stages are available in 8-Player Smash, Final Destination itself cannot be used in 8-Player Smash, despite the Ω stages usually being no larger than Final Destination itself.
- According to Masahiro Sakurai, 8-Player Smash was almost in Super Smash Bros. Melee, but was "more than impossible" at the time.
