The Guardian Orbitars are weapons from Kid Icarus: Uprising. They act as Pit's down-special move in Super Smash Bros. 4. They have been shown to knock away foes on start-up, but any other functions are currently unknown.
Origin
Orbitars are one of the weapon classes in Uprising. Weapons in this class can fire two shots at once and have high homing, though they're not as effective in melee combat; however, they are one of two classes that have no effect on running speed, the other being Palms. Guardian Orbitars specialize in defense, and can project shields with charged shots.
