Pikachu (ピカチュウ, Pikachū) will be a playable character in Super Smash Bros. 4.

Confirmed information

• Pikachu's appearance has been updated to match the newest Pokémon games (such as PokéPark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure) and the Pokémon anime; its model has been altered, and continues the trend of being gradually less chubby with each additional appearance.
• Pikachu can still crawl.
• The following moves are visually unchanged:
  • Neutral attack
  • Forward tilt
  • Dash attack
  • Neutral aerial
  • Thunder Jolt
  • Skull Bash
  • Quick Attack
  • Thunder
  • Down taunt
  • Side taunt
