Pikachu (ピカチュウ, Pikachū) will be a playable character in Super Smash Bros. 4.

Confirmed information

• Pikachu's appearance has been updated to match the newest Pokémon games such as PokéPark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure; its model has been altered, and continues the trend of being gradually less chubby with each additional appearance.
• Pikachu can still crawl.

The following moves are visually unchanged:

• Dash attack
• Neutral aerial
• Thunder Jolt
• Skull Bash
• Quick Attack
• Thunder
• Down taunt
• Side taunt

Trivia

• Pikachu's Smash 4 artwork has it striking the same pose in his artwork from the original Super Smash Bros., except that the latter has it leaning slightly, while the former has it standing up straight.
