Featured articles are considered to be the best articles on SmashWiki, as determined by our editors. Before being listed here, articles are reviewed at featured article candidates for accuracy, completeness, and style. A small, stylised Super Smash Bros. logo with a star on an article's page indicates that the article is featured, or has been featured in the past.

You can view all featured article snippets on SmashWiki:Featured content/Full.

How to request that an article be featured

To propose an article be featured, please do the following:

  • Create a heading under "Proposed featured articles" that looks like this: ===Article Name===, where "Article Name" is the full name of the article you believe is worthy of being labeled as a featured article.
  • Briefly explain why this article merits featured article status.
  • Be sure to sign your proposition with ~~~~

Blaster

Blaster covers Fox and Falco's equivalents in detail, has a lengthy section for Blaster's use in throws, and is a well-organised and well-written article without even having to cover Wolf's equivalent on the same page, and also features damage tables, glitches, and a gallery. 3. Indeed, it covers more and goes much more in depth than your average special attack article. Air Conditioner AC.png I am the air con. 17:27, 22 October 2012 (EDT)

Terrible: Support an article for its content, not its subject. Air Conditioner AC.png I am the air con. 17:04, 22 October 2012 (EDT) I see you changed it. Air Conditioner AC.png I am the air con. 17:27, 22 October 2012 (EDT)

Mario

Mario should be featured because he is Nintendo's most popular character as well as he appeared in all games in the SSB series. The Awesome 15:33, 4 October 2012 (EDT)

This is a terrible reason to nominate a page for a featured article. Is the article well written? Is it informative? If so, nominate it by all means. But saying it should be nominated simply because Mario is one of Nintendo's most popular characters and is in all 3 SSB games is completely irrelevant to the article itself. Besides, our current featured article is that on the Ice Climbers, who are not very popular, and have appeared in 2 SSB games. BlindColours Boing.png 18:54, 4 October 2012 (EDT)

TL;DR: Nominate an article based on its content, not its subject. Air Conditioner AC.png -.-- -.-- --..! 19:49, 4 October 2012 (EDT)
