On the topic of "you" vs. the "player," third person is preferable to second person, but the best way to do it is to change the subject of the sentence. For example, the sentence "You can open a door by pressing the control stick up." is better served being written "A do can be opened by pressing up on the control stick." Here, the subject of the sentence is changed from "you" to "the door." That is the best way to write wiki pages.
