The first EarthBound newcomer since the original Super Smash Bros., Lucas is the main character of MOTHER 3, the sequel to EarthBound released only in Japan. How Lucas fights in SSBB--aside from utilizing some sort of PSI electricity--remains to be seen, but it is commented that his fighting prowess may even surpass Ness.
Lucas has a Tether Recovery move in the form of a Rope Snake.
