Eevee (イーブイ, Ībui, Eievui in Japanese language versions) is a fictional creature in the Pokémon media franchise.
Creature Description
Eevee is a small mammal somewhat resembling a fox. It is unique among pokemon in that it has a host of different evolutionary forms it can choose from of many different types. In the first-generation it could evolve into the Water-type Vaporeon, the Electric-type Jolteon, and the Fire-type Flareon. In the second generation it could also evolve into the Psychic-type Espeon and the Dark-type Umbreon, and in the fourth generation it can also evolve into the Grass-type Leafeon and the Ice-type Glaceon.
The Pokedex explains that it is extremely rare. It has irregularly configured, unstable DNA that is easily affected by its surroundings; this gives it its well-known trait of evolving to a form that is perfectly suited to the various archetypal environments. It has many different evolutionary forms that are attained a variety of ways, such as radiation from various stones.
In Super Smash Bros. Melee
Eevee makes one minor appearance in this game.
