It appears that Lucario is loosely based off of [[Mewtwo (SSBM)]], but with different techniques similar to martial arts. It has been seen using what appears to be an Aura Sphere from Pokémon Diamond & Pearl.
While primarily a fighting type Pokémon, most of Lucario's moves are augmented with his ability to use Aura, in a style very similar to [[Mewtwo (SSBM)|Mewtwo]]'s Psychic augmented fighting style, but with different techniques similar to martial arts. Lucario (ルカリオ, Rukario) is a character in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Though not officially confirmed on the Smash Bros. DOJO!! website, Lucario was indirectly revealed in a recently updated trailer on the official Japanese Wii website.

While primarily a fighting type Pokémon, most of Lucario's moves are augmented with his ability to use Aura, in a style very similar to Mewtwo's Psychic augmented fighting style, but with different techniques similar to martial arts. It has been seen using what appears to be an Aura Sphere from Pokémon Diamond & Pearl. Like Mewtwo, he has voice acting attributed to his telepathic abilities demonstrated in the movie Lucario and the Mystery of Mew.

Special Moves

  • Side Special Move: Name Unknown. Lucario takes a kneeling stance and places his palms in front of himself. After a brief delay he fires a short range burst of of blue energy.
  • Up Special Move: Name Unknown. Lucario stops moving for a brief moment and then dashes in a chosen direction.
  • Down Special Move: Name Unknown. Lucario performs a defensive, tai-chi like, animation. If he is attacked from the front during this animation he teleports behind his opponent and strikes them.

Role in the Subspace Emissary

Lucario is somewhere cold when he battles Metaknight. After that, it is presumed that he joins up with Metaknight. After managing to get onto the Halberd, Lucario sees Snake hidden in his box using his aura, and pulls Snake's box off of him. At some point after this, Snake meets up with Zelda and Peach, with Meta Knight and Lucario supposedly nearby. Snake, Lucario and Metaknight discover that the Halberd is being controled by a group of Mr. Game and Watches. The three of them are then assumed to battle and defeat the G&Ws.
