Claws Out was a Spirit Board event focused on spirits with claws. It ran from 6 a.m. on February 12, 2021 to 6 a.m. on February 15, 2021 (UTC), and was repeated from 6 a.m. on August 26, 2022 to 6 a.m. on August 29, 2022 (UTC), and was repeated again from 6 a.m. on August 25, 2023 to 6 a.m. on August 28, 2023 (UTC). During the event, defeating spirits on the Spirit Board which were part of the event awarded more Gold than usual.
Description
North America
- Spirits with claws, talons, and other sharp appendages will be clacking their way onto the Spirit Board!
PAL regions
- Spirits with claws, talons and other sharp appendages are clacking their way onto the Spirit Board! Defeat them in battle to earn more gold than usual.
- The Legend-class Dry Bowser, Queen Metroid and Omega Ridley, plus the Ace-class Dark Mind will also appear at set times. Be sure to check them out![3][4]

- Masahiro Sakurai showed an early version of the banner in a YouTube video, notably with different tearing marks. He suggested making the tearing marks be more rough and ripped.[5]
