Charizard (Lizardon; リザードン, Rizādon) is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Brawl in a sense; it is one of three Pokémon that can be played when you select Pokémon Trainer from the game's character select screen, the other two being Squirtle and Ivysaur. Like Pit and Meta Knight, Charizard is able to glide and jump multiple times in mid-air. However, Charizard only has three mid-air jumps, and his glide is somewhat worse than Pit's and Metaknight's.
Charizard has a suprisingly fast running speed, though it is true to its speed stat in the pokemon games. However, it has one of the slowest walking speeds in the game. It is the third heaviest character.
