Scuffed World Tour is an ongoing Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate invitational tournament intended to serve as a replacement for the cancelled Smash World Tour 2022 Championships. It is being hosted by Ludwig on December 18th, 2022. The 8 players with the most points on the Smash World Tour 2022 standings for both games were invited. Ludwig also added "8 more players that we handpick for each game"[1] for a total of 16 players per game.[2] The 1 player with the highest amount of points in a Smash World Tour 2022 region in the overall Top 30 of the leaderboards was invited if not already qualified.[3] Any replacements for players who couldn't attend were handpicked.[4] The tournament is a double-elimination bracket, with both games running simultaneously. There is a pot prize of $50,000 ($25,000 for each game). The tournament will raise money for VGBootCamp, who lost hundreds of thousands of dollars due to the cancellation of the Smash World Tour 2022 Championships,[5] and had to cancel major tournaments Glitch: Duel of Fates and Double Down 2023 in the process.[6]
