Trivia

  • Prior to the 1.1.0 update, the Yoshi series was labeled as the Yoshi's Island series, and many Yoshi spirits that come from a specific game listed that specific game. After the update, all Yoshi series spirits simply list the "Yoshi Series".
    • The game of origin for the Super Happy Tree, Pak E. Derm, Blargg, and Don Bongo was listed as Yoshi's Story.
    • The game of origin for Yarn Yoshi and Yarn Poochy was listed as Yoshi's Woolly World.
  • Yoshi is the only Smash 64 franchise to lack Primary Attack spirits, as well as one of the three (being Kirby and EarthBound) not to have Master Spirits.
  • Yoshi is the only one of the Original 10 universes and the only Mario sub-universe to have no female spirits.
  • Yoshi (Yoshi's Crafted World) is the only spirit in the base game to originate from a game that had not been released at the time of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's launch.
  • Baby Bowser, Burt the Bashful, and Blargg are the only Yoshi spirits not to play music from the Yoshi universe.
    • Out of the three, Burt the Bashful is the only one to make no appearances in any of the Mario games, as Blargg made its debut in Super Mario World, while Baby Bowser is the baby counterpart of Bowser.
  • In Adventure mode, all Yoshi spirits that appear in spirit battles, as well as Yoshi himself, are controlled by light: they either appear in the World of Light or on Galeem's side in the Final Battle.
    • Because of this, it is the only Smash 64 series to have none of its spirits controlled by Dharkon.
    • It also shared a distinction with the Punch-Out!! spirits, as well as Little Mac himself in the World of Light.
