About
Below are information about my statistics in the Super Smash Bros. series.
Super Smash Bros. Games
Currently, I have two Super Smash Bros. games that I have:
- Super Smash Bros. Brawl: The first Super Smash Bros. game I have. I don't know when did I got this, but I know it was somewhere after the announcement of Smash 4. Currently it is my favorite game so far, since it has many things I can do such as racking up a lot of damage to my CPU opponents and playing on custom stages most of the time. The thing that criticizes me is how the CPU's behavior is nearly perfect timed because they have very good reaction times. This also means that I would have trouble attacking them and would think it's best to handicap them.
- Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: The second game I have. Got this game on the game's launch date. I also purchased both of the Fighters Pass to get the downloadable content for Ultimate. The thing that interested me is how all characters return, and how the majority of the characters are easier to control.
Favorite Characters
Below are my favorite characters that I used frequently or often times, along with a short opinion about the character.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
- Luigi: My most favorite character in the series. I find him to be useful in Brawl. I usually play as him some of the time.
- Bowser: I choose him because of his very powerful moves. He also has more viable KO options.
- Ganondorf: I choose him because of his very powerful moves. Unlike Bowser, Ganondorf has great launching power and can even KO characters as low as 60%.
- Kirby: I choose him because of the Copy Abilities he can use as well as his aerial moves being more connectable.
- Meta Knight: I frequently choose him because of his very fast moves. He also has very good recovery options and can edgeguard very well.
- King Dedede: He is considered to be very useful because of his very damaging moves and how they come out quick. I also use his down throw multiple times for his chain grab.
- Marth: I choose him because of his tipping attacks. They have excellent range and damage overall.
- Mr. Game & Watch: I choose him because of his damaging attacks. They are very useful against opponents at high damage and can edgeguard well.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
- Mario: Previously I chose him because of his more acceptable moves. But currently, I would rarely use him in battles.
- Luigi: I still choose him because of his acceptable moves like Mario. Although I noticed a few nerfs from him. I consider him better than he was in Brawl.
- Bowser: I choose him because like in Brawl, he has very damaging moves. I noticed that he was very useful to use in Ultimate, and consider him one of the best characters to use.
- Dr. Mario: While I don't use Mario a lot. I choose Dr. Mario instead. He has powerful moves than Mario, although his mobility is low.
- Ganondorf: I find him to be very useful in battles. I consider him better than he was in Brawl because of his very damaging moves becoming more powerful.
- Kirby: I still choose him because of his aerials being more connectable and damaging. He also has great edgeguarding techniques.
- Meta Knight: I still choose him because of his combo potential and excellent at edgeguarding. Overall, I noticed the nerfs he received, but I still find him to be useful.
- King Dedede: I still use him despite the nerfs he received. He has great damage outputs and combo potentials overall.
- Marth: I still choose him because of his damaging attacks from the tip of the sword. He also provides excellent reach and knockback.
- Roy: I choose him because the most damaging move is located in the base of his sword. This helps me connect and KO opponents earlier. He also appears to have damaging attacks.
- Ike: I choose him because the moves are very powerful and does more damage. While his mobility is slow, he has great knockback power.
- Mr. Game & Watch: I still choose him because the properties he had in Brawl are more enhanced. He still received the damaging moves he had, although with shorter range.
Favorite Stages
Below are my favorite stages that I go to frequently or often times, along with a short opinion about the stage.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
- Final Destination: I go to this stage for normal battles only. I know this is a typical stage with no platforms or stage hazards, but it is fair to go to. I personally like the background of the stage.
- Mushroomy Kingdom: For this stage, I prefer the underground variant of the stage. The reason for this is because there are so many blocks that it will be difficult to break through. This is especially noticeable with CPUs.
- 75 m: I usually like to idle during the battle. I prefer idling right below the stage. I also like to see opponents getting hit by the fire projectile and the springs that bounce by.
- Bridge of Eldin: I like this stage specifically for glitches that happen on this stage. But for other reasons, I like this stage because of the layout it has and seeing opponents getting hit by the explosion.
- Halberd: I like this stage specifically in the Battleship Halberd section. The stage hazards in the background of the battleship can help me launch opponents as their targets.
- Smashville: I like this stage because of the layout it has, along with the sky changing based on the system time. I also like how the residents are spectating the battle.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
- Final Destination: Like Final Destination in Brawl, this stage has no platforms and no stage hazards. I also like the background of the stage.
- Mushroomy Kingdom: Despite the underground variant of the stage being removed, I still like this stage because of the blocks that are just scattered across the stage.
- Bridge of Eldin: Just like Brawl, this stage features a flat layout. Since glitches no longer occur here anymore, I still like to prefer watching opponents getting hit by the explosion.
- Halberd: My favorite part on this stage is the Battleship Halberd section just like Brawl. The stage hazards return and so it'll help me out.
- The Great Cave Offensive: I like this stage because of the size it is. I usually camp sometimes, but also throw opponents to the Danger Zones and get them instantly KO'd.
- Palutena's Temple: Just Like The Great Cave Offensive, this stage is also big in size. I would also camp in this stage too.
- Smashville: Like Brawl, the stage has a fair layout similar to Final Destination. The residents also return spectating.
- Town and City: This stage also has a similar layout like Smashville, although it now transitions to the City section. The residents also spectate on this stage.
Things that I discovered
- The Immense Soccer Ball Damage is an item glitch I discovered that only works on Super Smash Bros. Brawl that allows me to deal immense damage to any character without the use of hacks or mods. It involves with 5 soccer balls, then merge them together perfectly. Rack up damage to them, and launch them into an opponent. The result will have the opponent take as high as 600% damage in one hit.
- The Pause technique, refers to repeatedly pausing the game to read opponents' moves correctly. It works on all Super Smash Bros. installments. By pausing the game and looking at the opponents' actions, it helps me clarify their next move. This helped me accomplish a lot of things in Brawl and Ultimate. Some of the things that helped me accomplish are:
- Clearing All-Star Mode in Super Smash Bros. Brawl as King Dedede in Intense without using any continues.
- Clearing Classic Mode on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in 9.9 intensity with more than 30 characters.
Things to work on
The thing I want to work on are the articles that needs competitive expertise. No one would bother working on it, so I will be working on that from now.
The other thing I want to work on are articles that need technical data. Currently, I don’t know how technical data works in any way. The readings appeared to look hard.
