Fox McCloud (フォックス・マクラウド, Fokkusu Makuraudo) has been confirmed for Super Smash Bros. Brawl. He keeps all of his previous moves from SSBM.
When he was revealed in the Nintendo World 2006 trailer, he was shown with his blaster in his hand at all times, leading to much speculation over how his attacks might change in Brawl. However, his gun is shown in its holster in all subsequent screenshots shown at the Dojo.
Fox is now more floaty than he was in Super Smash Bros. Melee, with a shorter blaster range and a downwards shinespike. Fox players can also now shorten the length of his Fox Illusion.
Role in The Subspace Emissary
An Arwing is seen dodging attacks from the battleship Halberd, but is soon struck and begins to fall toward it. Kirby and Peach are then thrown overboard. Though the pilot of the Arwing is not shown, it is most likely to be Fox.
However, in the original screenshots Fox is shown in the Jungle where Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong start their story. Where he belongs in the story is currently unclear, but it's possible that he may team up with Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong. (It is possible that after being struck down, the Arwing crashes in the Jungle).
