Gackt (がくと) is a Japanese smasher who mains Ness in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. He is widely considered the best Ness player in the world, having taken sets from top players such as Abadango, Choco, Cosmos, kameme, kept, Kome, kuro, Lea, Raito, Tsu, Umeki, Tea, and VoiD. Gackt is currently ranked 24th on the Japan Player Rankings and 29th on the Fall 2019 PGRU.
Gackt was also among the best Ness players in the world in SSB4. He has taken sets over top Smash 4 players including komorikiri, Abadango, ANTi, tamim, Tsu, Nietono, Locus, T, Ned, and dyr.
Playstyle
Gackt relies on PK Thunder to create mindgames and devastating ledgetraps, often allowing him to close out stocks quickly. His breakout tournament was at The Big House 7 where he earned 17th place and defeated top players tamim, Locus, and ANTi. Since then, Gackt has done very well at various tournaments in both Japan and the United States.
