Dark Pit (ブラックピット, Black Pit) is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. He was confirmed as a playable character on June 12th, 2018. He is an Echo Fighter of Pit. Antony Del Rio once again reprises his role as Dark Pit in the English version of the game.
Differences from Pit
Aesthetics
- Dark Pit has unique taunts and victory animations. However, the taunts last for the same amount of time as Pit's.
- Although Dark Pit has the same base model, his hair, eyes and clothes have a different design. He also lacks the halo rings present in Pit's arms
- Dark Pit has different, less cheerful facial expressions in some attack animations.
- Dark Pit has a different victory tune.
Special Moves
- Silver Bow's performance varies from Pit's Palutena Bow.
- Silver Bow deals more damage and travels slightly faster.
- Silver Bow lasts for a shorter amount of time and cannot be controlled as easily.
- Electroshock Arm deals electric damage, and sends opponents at a lower angle than Upperdash Arm.
- Dark Pit has a completely different Final Smash, being Dark Pit Staff.

Aesthetics
- Dark Pit retains his Kid Icarus: Uprising appearance. His clothing and wings now feature simple detailing, and like Pit, his eyes and hair appear more detailed.
- Dark Pit's down and side taunts are performed faster.
Attributes
- Like all characters, Dark Pit's jumpsquat animation now takes three frames to complete.
