King Dedede (デデデ, Dedede) is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. He was confirmed on June 12th, 2018.

Aesthetics
Like many other characters, King Dedede is more expressive, both with his face and especially his movements.
Special moves
It appears King Dedede now has the ability to inhale and spit back Gordos from Gordo Throw.- King Dedede has a new Final Smash. The Final Smash features King Dedede taking his "Masked Dedede" appearance from Kirby Super Star Ultra before trapping opponents inside of a cage as he attacks them with a barrage of missiles and his Jet Hammer. This is better than his previous Final Smash, because the opponent can't escape from it.
- King Dedede has a new forward aerial which is now a horizontal hammer swing.
- Down throw has a little more snappier animation.
Performing a up special below a solid block can result in King Dedede falling with a lot of end lag.
