Silver the Hedgehog (シルバー・ザ・ヘッジホッグ , Shirubā za Hejjihoggu) is one of the more recent Sonic characters, originally appearing in the 2006 game, Sonic the Hedgehog for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Silver the Hedgehog has since grown to be a somewhat major character since his debut, as he appears in a lot of the recent Sonic games, including the Wii title "Sonic & the Secret Rings," where he is unlockable. Oddly enough, his main roles are mainly on Sony or Microsoft consoles, with his Nintendo appearances being usually minor.
Character Description
Silver the Hedgehog is a white hedgehog, with odd shining blue patterns on his hands. Silver comes from the future, along with Blaze the Cat (who, oddly, has been depicted of living in another dimension in the Sonic Rush series), where it has been devastated by a monster known as "Iblis". He has psychic abilities, as well as telepathic skills. This is also backed with his ability to fly for short distances. Silver's personality is somewhat similar to Sonic the Hedgehog, in the field that he'll fight for justice no matter what the cost. However, in terms of attitude, Silver tends to act serious towards his mission, comparable to Shadow the Hedgehog. Silver is also somewhat naive(as stated by Blaze the Cat), and tends to get insecure when left to fight on his own. However, this doesn't stop him from trying to save the world from Solaris in Sonic the Hedgehog, alongside Sonic and Shadow. In the Sonic Rivals series for the Playstation Portable, Silver's psychic skills are emphasized once again, as he traversed both games trying to beat Blaze's old nemesis, Eggman Nega. Oddly, most of Silver's Nintendo appearances seem to take away his psychic powers, only showing little or none of his abilities, seemingly making him more of a normal hedgehog and he doesn't have a major role in these appearances.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Silver appears in a cameo appearance in the Green Hill Zone by running in the background along with Tails and Knuckles. He also appears as one of the many Stickers that can be collected in the game. His Sticker appearance is that of his artwork on the official Sonic the Hedgehog website, Sonic Channel. This sticker can only be placed on Sonic, and its status boost is Launch Power +49. His only other appearance in the game is in the form of a Trophy unlocked by clearing Target Test level 3 with all characters. In addition, Silver's bracelet is an alternate costume for Sonic.
Trophy Description
