Luigi's first jab is a very quick punch that knocks opponents slightly upwards. It is an extremely useful move thanks to it's very quick startup (frame 2) and very low endlag (IASA 19). It also has deceptively long range which, along with its low endlag, makes it a decent poke in neutral. Jab 1 is also a useful move to create mixups as it can lead into a grab, Super Jump Punch or a smash attack if Luigi's opponent doesn't react fast enough. | |||

Overview
Luigi's first jab is a very quick punch that knocks opponents slightly upwards. It is an extremely useful move thanks to it's very quick startup (frame 2) and very low endlag (IASA 19). It also has deceptively long range which, along with its low endlag, makes it a decent poke in neutral. Jab 1 is also a useful move to create mixups as it can lead into a grab, Super Jump Punch or a smash attack if Luigi's opponent doesn't react fast enough.
Overall, Jab 1 is one of Luigi's best tools.
