Upon the release of ''Brawl'', CCD was asked if he would do the same style of historical analysis with the new ''Smash'' game, to which he answered that he might do so but not immediately. Before CCD began his videos on the history of ''Brawl'', many others on YouTube made similar history videos to explain elements of the game's history.
