It is interesting to note that the music on this stage, Multi-Man Melee 2, is not used in any other event until the final one, which is Event 51: [[The Showdown]]. In this way, they may serve as 'bookends' to mark the first event (Event 1: Trouble King) and the final event match (Event 51: The Showdown) of the game.

Trouble King (迷惑大王, Annoying King) is the 1st event match of the 51 event matches in Super Smash Bros. Melee. As Mario, the player must win a 2 stock match against a CPU Bowser on Battlefield with no time limit. When the match starts, the player spawns above the center of the low, large platform, and Bowser spawns above the topmost platform. Bowser is heavily handicapped and his AI is only level one.

This event has somewhat of a successor in Event 42: Trouble King 2, and a further followup in Super Smash Bros. Brawl with Event 1: Two Trouble Kings, where it also includes King Dedede for the player to fight.
