Metal Mario's appearance in Adventure Mode of Melee.

Metal Mario first appeared in Super Smash Bros. as a boss in Metal Mario's Residence. He takes an absurd amount of damage to KO (Often over 300%), but succeeding in getting him off the stage almost guarantees victory, as his massive falling speed and terrible recovery make it nigh impossible for him to survive. He mainly walks around the stage, seldomly attacking.

In Super Smash Bros. Melee, he appears in Battlefield in Adventure by falling from the sky after the player beat the Fighting Wire Frames there. This time, he is more aggressive, and his recovery is longer, but the metal does not increase his weight as much as it used to. If the player unlock Luigi, Metal Mario teams up with Metal Luigi. Metal Mario also appears as a trophy which can be acquired through the 1-P mode or the lottery.

Sadly, despite his role as a boss in Super Smash Bros. and Melee, he, alongside Race to the Finish and GiANT DK didn't return in Brawl.
