- Both versions of Super Smash Bros. 4 are updated to version 1.1.0. This update adds Tournament Mode and the option to post replays on YouTube to the Wii U version. There will also be paid DLC of new Mii Fighter costumes and stages for both versions.

- Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS is released in Hong Kong and Taiwan.

- Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS is confirmed to release in South Korea on September 10th, 2015.

- EVO 2015 concludes, with Armada, Hungrybox and PPMD respectively taking 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in Melee singles, and ZeRo, Mr. R, and Nairo respectively taking 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U singles.
