CLASH Tournaments, abbreviated as CT, is a crew based in the Tristate Area of the United States, created by Chibo in late 2011. The crew provides livestream for Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Brawl, as well as other video games. The crew has been a major contributor to the Smash scene of the Tristate Area, as most of the region's local tournaments are streamed. The crew streams events out of region as well, including national tournaments. CLASH Tournaments has sponsored many top players, and it has a website where its members frequently make blog posts about Smash.
Professional team
On June 5th, 2014, Chibo announced via livestream the plans for forming the CLASH Tournaments professional team. This new division of CT would be a three person sponsored and professional team, more akin to the likes of other major sponsors now in the Smash community such as Team Liquid, Team Curse, Cloud 9, and Evil Geniuses. The initial launch of the pro team has ZeRo, ESAM, and Cybertron - the latter two who are new members of CLASH Tournaments, compared to ZeRo who has been with the group since the beginning. Along with the launch of the pro team, CLASH Tournaments brought on a total of 6 sponsors and partners: Smashboards, BrokenTier, Envy Gaming, Apex Tournament Series, Linode, and Astro Gaming. All pro team members will display the brand and sponsors on jerseys to be seen at events soon. More details on the professional team can be found at their new mini-site http://clashtournaments.gg/.
