SuperBoomFan (often stylized as SuPeRbOoMfAn or just Boom online) is a world-renowned smasher, known to be the best Canadian Smash 64 player and the second best in North America behind Isai, consistently placing in the top 3 of large national tournaments. By consensus the top Captain Falcon main in the world, he has taken tournament sets off of world-class Captain Falcon players such as tacos, Ruoka Dancho and Mariguas. He is also a top Pikachu, Kirby and Fox player, and is notorious for being extremely adept with the entire roster, as seen in his twelve character battles.
His teammate of choice is JaimeHR and the international duo is feared as Team Mejor; they took 1st in singles at Apex 2013, 2014 and 2015.
He also dabbles in Melee, but has claimed he does not take the game nearly as seriously as Smash 64.
History
SuPeRbOoMfAn began playing Smash 64 online through Kaillera in early 2004, where he practiced with other prominent players such as JaimeHR, Bane, Frogles and Dark Link X. He has since developed into one of the best players online, creating Prodigies of Premium Smash along with ECartman and eventually began participating at console tournaments.
His first major tournament win was at GENESIS 2, where he defeated Isai's Luigi 3-1 in winners' finals, and then losing the first set of grand finals to Isai's Yoshi and Jigglypuff 2-3, but still winning the second set 3-2.
He repeated this performance at Apex 2012 six months later, defeating Isai's Link 3-1 in winners' finals, losing the first set of grand finals to Isai 2-3, and then winning the second set 3-1. In the Smash 64 doubles side event, he placed 2nd with JaimeHR, losing to Isai and Nintendude in winners' finals and grand finals.
SuPeRbOoMfAn returned to attend Apex 2013 next year, where he placed 3rd in Smash 64 singles. He defeated players such as Banze and Sensei in winners' bracket, before losing to Kikoushi 1-3 in winners' semis. He defeated JaimeHR 3-0 in losers' quarters and Ruoka Dancho 3-0 in losers' semis. In losers' finals, he was eliminated by Isai's Mario 1-3.
SuPeRbOoMfAn won Smash 64 singles at Zenith 2013, defeating Sensei 3-1 in winners' finals and 3-2 in grand finals. Notably, he played using his keyboard Kirby during the first three games of grand finals, though Sensei ended up with a 2-1 lead. He then switched to the usual controller and won the next two games to close out the set.
At Apex 2014, SuPeRbOoMfAn once again placed 3rd in Smash 64 singles. He played a close set against Moyashi in winners' semis, but ended up losing 2-3. He defeated tacos 3-0 in losers' quarters and Mariguas 3-0 in losers' semis, but lost to Moyashi once again in losers' finals, this time 1-3.
At Zenith 2014, SuPeRbOoMfAn managed to win Smash 64 singles without dropping a game in the bracket. He defeated KeroKeroppi 3-0 in winners' semis, Wizzrobe 3-0 in winners' finals, and KeroKeroppi 3-0 again in grand finals. He also won Smash 64 doubles with The Z, defeating Firo and Nintendude in both winners' finals and grand finals.
In August 2014, SuPeRbOoMfAn traveled to Peru with Mariguas and Herbert Von Karajan to play in their national tournament, where he defeated many of their notable players. In loser's semis, he played Gerson who is widely considered the country's best player, in an infamously campy set, the first match lasting 53 minutes, and won. He was then beaten twice by Marka and ended up in 3rd place, behind the latter and Alvin.
In early January 2015, he participated at Echo 2015 in Ottawa, Ontario, where he took 1st place, defeating many notable Canadian players such as YBOMBB and The Z. He also won the doubles bracket, teaming with Toronto player Fck Vwls, beating The Z & Revan in Winner's finals and Grand Finals.
At Apex 2015, SuPeRbOoMfAn dominated in Smash 64 singles, only dropping two games: one to Wizzrobe and the second to tacos. However, he would go on to sweep the winners bracket and win against tacos in the Grand Finals, solidifying his 1st place in Smash 64 once again. He would also go on to place first in Smash 64 doubles with JaimeHR, defeating very strong teams such as Star King & Killer and tacos & The Z.

Controversies
Peru National Tournament
While at Tacna 2014, a Hyrule Castle-only tournament, SuPeRbOoMfAn played in an infamously campy set against Gerson in loser's semis. Gerson offered to play on Dream Land, which SuPeRbOoMfAn refused due to the tournament rules stating that Hyrule is the only legal stage. They finished the rest of the set on Hyrule in 2 faster, albeit still campy matches, and Boom was the victor. It is theorized he wanted to prove something to the Peruvians about their stage. The ruleset of the tournament stated that the player in the lead is not required to approach the other player in a camping situation. Gerson was warned multiple times throughout the first match that he needed to approach SuPeRbOoMfAn since Gerson was losing in % and stock count. When SuPeRbOoMfAn was warned for not approaching Gerson in subsequent matches when he was at a disadvantage, he argued he deserves as much time as Gerson took during the first match. Some call SuPeRbOoMfAn's behaviour unsportsmanlike and claim he has left a bad impression of the North American scene in South America. 6 months later, Peru had their first Dreamland only tournament with Gerson finishing first.
FalcoMaster3000
Hoyt had resided in Fort Saskatchewan for many years, being remotely active in the local Melee scene before moving to Fredericton, New Brunswick until November 2014, when he unexpectedly moved back to Edmonton. Upon his return, he entered his weekly with the tag FalcoMaster3000, wearing a balaclava with sunglasses, and surprised everyone with his skill in the game, effectively taking 1st place using a combination of Marth, Falco and Fox. He did not speak once during the entire tournament. Although he has never publicly stated to be the mysterious figure, profile matches and a combination of coincidences result in the general consensus that he was indeed the masked smasher. The video covering the incident went viral and has been viewed over 180,000 times as of late April 2015.
