Boost Kick (ブーストキック, Boost Kick) is Zero Suit Samus's up special move in Super Smash Bros. 4. When using this move, Zero Suit Samus will perform a rising kick, giving her a seemingly more reliable recovery than her previous up special move, Plasma Wire. When used on opponents, she'll ascend while damaging them and finish with a kick, similarly to Fire Wolf. The kick has high horizontal knockback, being one of her few KO moves. It can be effective as an out of shield option and it can be used as a fatal combo finisher out of a down smash at high percentage.
Customization
Special Move customization was added in Super Smash Bros. 4. These are the known variations:
- Impact Kick: Launches opponents skyward with a jump kick, spinning finisher is extremely powerful.
- Lateral Kick: Lowers the boost on her heels and performs a low jump kick, uses extra strength to boost forward.
Description from the 3DS version's foldout
"Rise into the air, kicking multiple times."
