Sorry for necro, but damn I did not know this existed. Anyway, given SmashWiki:Ownership already says that anyone is free to edit technical data provided they know what they're doing, I don't see that much of a point to this, although the extra clarity is nice. Any bad actors inserting false data would likely just be subject to standard Wiki procedure: people can check and disprove it, especially now with all the resources we have to verify it. - EndGenuity (talk) 17:29, April 26, 2021 (EDT) |

Creation[edit]
So the idea is that this thing gets put on every moveset subpage. I have some things I want discussed first though.
- What kind of wording should we use? We want to avoid scaring off editors from improving the text, but dissuade them from editing the numbers.
- Should it be placed at the top or bottom of pages? For example, Wikipedia and Bulbapedia put this kind of thing at the bottom, which avoids top-page clutter and such, but it seems like the "please don't touch the numbers" text will never get read if it's down there.
- Should a different image/colour be used so it doesn't look like the "needs data" tag?
