Lucario (ルカリオ, Rukario) will be a playable character in Super Smash Bros. 4. He was announced on January 31, 2014, the same day that Super Smash Bros. Brawl was released in Japan; according to an extra post of the Miiverse reveal, this timing was done to commend the Brawl developers for succeding in adding Lucario to said game.
