The Tristate Area is a Smash region located in the United States covered by the Tristate Power Rankings. It includes the New York City region of New York State, as well as New Jersey and Pennsylvania. It is commonly considered to be the strongest Brawl region in North America, home to some of the world's best players, and also has a strong Melee scene. Local tournaments are frequently held, and the region has hosted many national tournaments, such as the Apex tournament series.
