Azendash is the specific name, derived from Azen, for the event in which a player attempts a wavedash near the edge of the stage and mistakenly air dodges off the level, resulting in their character's death (noted as a self-destruct in the match results).

The Azendash doesn't exist in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Instead of being immobile after air dodging, a character returns to their normal state, ready to attack or recover directly after.
