Hand Grenade is Snake's standard special move. When used, Snake pulls out a grenade. Pressing the B button again will throw it. The force with which the player throw the grenade depends on how he tilt the control stick; tilting it backwards throws it softly, not tilting will to throw it normally, and tilting it forward will throw it strongly. The grenade is not impact-sensitive, meaning it will not detonated when hitting the ground, wall, items, or enemies. Since it does not detonate on impact with targets, it deals a small amount of damage if it hits an enemy before it explodes. However, like Link's bombs, holding the grenade too long will cause it to explode in Snake's hand. The grenade Snake uses appears to be an M67.
