12th August 2024: Rachael Lillis, voice actress best known for her roles in the Pokémon anime who was also the English voice of Jigglypuff in the Super Smash Bros. series, passed away at age 55.

11th August 2024: At Supernova 2024, Sparg0, Sonix, and SHADIC take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place respectively in Ultimate singles; Marcus takes 1st place in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U singles; 686M, Cody, and Player-1 take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place respectively in Brawl singles; Mang0, Cody Schwab, and Junebug take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place respectively in Melee singles; Kurabba, SuPeRbOoMfAn, and KeroKeroppi take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place respectively in Smash 64 singles. Sparg0 & Chag take Ultimate doubles; Mang0 & Plup take Melee doubles; SuPeRbOoMfAn & Nax take Smash 64 doubles.

28 July 2024: At Kowloon 12 with Kagaribi, Miya, acola, and Sparg0 take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place respectively in Ultimate singles; Inngenn takes 1st place in Melee singles.

15 July 2024: At Seibugeki 17, TamaPDaifuku, Shuton, and Fui take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place respectively in Ultimate singles.
