This event saw a cinderella run from #51 {{Sm|Many}}, who not only outplaced his seed significantly, but was also able to upset several notable players, including #14 seed {{Sm|MuteAce}} 3-2 (upset factor 4), #17 seed {{Sm|Skyjay}} 3-1, and #11 seed {{Sm|MkLeo}} (upset factor 5) to make top 8, his first-ever top 8 at a major-level tournament.
On the other hand, the event saw a slew of upsets, leading many international players to underperform. MuteAce was eventually eliminated at 49th after losing 2-3 to #59 seed {{Sm|Duplex}} (upset factor 4), his worst placement of the season. On the Loser's side, SHADIC defeated Sparg0 for the first time 3-2, which included a high-percent three-stock comeback in game 4, but lost against Sonix 2-3 in their runback. Sonix then ran though Gackt to meet ShinyMark in Grand Finals and was able to reset the bracket 3-1, however ShinyMark was able to prevail and defeat Sonix 3-2, cursing Sonix with yet another 2nd-place finish at a major. ShinyMark became the first Pikachu player since {{Sm|ESAM}} to win a major and supermajor, breaking the "pre-local" curse along the way as he also won the S Factor pre-local, and was the second of three new major winners in the final weekend of the [[LumiRank 2024.1]] season.

This event saw a cinderella run from #51 Many, who not only outplaced his seed significantly, but was also able to upset several notable players, including #14 seed MuteAce 3-2 (upset factor 4), #17 seed Skyjay 3-1, and #11 seed MkLeo (upset factor 5) to make top 8, his first-ever top 8 at a major-level tournament.
