Kagaribi 9 was a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate supermajor tournament held in Tokyo, Japan, from February 4th-5th, 2023.

Zackray's 3rd place finish marked the highest placement of a Pit/Dark Pit player at a major/supermajor tournament in any Smash game, and the first time a Pit/Dark Pit player placed in the Top 8 of an Ultimate major. Remarkably, this was also Zackray's first Ultimate tournament using Pit/Dark Pit.
Meru, despite being a former top EU player and participating in Japanese weeklies for a few months, was erroneously seeded to go 0-2. He subsequently outplaced his seed by nine Losers' side rounds, the most in the tournament, pickings up wins over Tsubotsubo and YOC.
acola and Asimo played in Winners' Finals and Grand Finals, which were repeat matches from Kagaribi 7.
