Captain L is a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Sheik main from British Columbia. He was considered the best Pikachu and Pichu player in Canada before switching to Sheik. He has defeated players such as WaDi, Puppeh, Mr. E, ScAtt, Fatality, Eon, and Big D. Captain L is currently ranked 4th on both the Smash Canada Rankings Ultimate and British Columbia Ultimate Power Rankings, and was formerly ranked 50th on the Spring 2019 PGRU.
In Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Captain L was a Pikachu main with a strong Jigglypuff secondary. Captain L consistently places top 3 in the Pacific Northwest region, and has taken sets off of top players such as MkLeo, Tweek, Larry Lurr, Mr.R, Mistake, ESAM, Marss, and Lima. He is considered one of the best Pikachu mains in the world (along with ESAM) and the best Jigglypuff player in the world. He is currently ranked 2nd on the Canada Smash Ranking, 2nd on the Official British Columbia Power Rankings, and 79th on the Panda Global Rankings 100.
Captain L is known for his use of the Bidou control scheme, and popularizing use of the Arduino GameCube Controller to assist labbers and improve Training Mode for players.
Play style
Captain L employs a defensive playstyle where he uses well placed Thunder Jolts to harass and goad opponents into approaching. He has a number of matches go to time with most of said timeouts resulting in his win. Despite this, he has a top-notch combo game. He has a great deal of consistency with Pikachu's up throw into Thunder kill combo. His Jigglypuff is also known for its surprising combo game and rest reads.
