Bellossom (キレイハナ, Kireihana in Japanese language versions) is a fictional creature in the Pokémon media franchise.

Creature description

Bellossom was introduced in the second generation of the Pokémon games. A trainer could obtain a Bellossom by using a Sun Stone on a Gloom. Erika in Pokémon Gold & Silver uses Bellossom as one of her Pokémon. Bellossom resembles a dancer with her appearance. She has two small arms and two flowers on the top of her head. Around her waste is a band of leaves that resemble a skirt for Bellossom. While Bellossom dances, sleep powder comes out of her body.

In Super Smash Bros. Melee

As a Poké Ball Pokémon

Bellossom appears as a Pokémon that comes out of a Poké Ball and a trophy in Melee. Bellossom will use Sleep Powder as her attack. Bellossom will start dancing when she comes out of the Poké Ball. She will be shrouded with Sleep Powder. Any character that makes contact with the powder will fall asleep. The character who is asleep cannot move until he/she is attacked or when Bellosom dissapears. Unlike other Pokémon, Bellossom remains on the stage for a long period of time. Bellossom's sleep powder does not harm the summoner.

As a trophy

Bellossom features as a collectible trophy, unlocked as one of the 100+ trophies that can be collected randomly during normal play, such as in the Trophy Lottery and throughout the various Single-player Regular Matches. It reads as follows:

Bellossom
From time to time, these beautiful flower Pokémon will gather in numbers and perform an odd sort of dance to call out the sun. While in the midst of this strange exhibition, their petals brush together to create a peaceful and soothing melody. A Gloom will only evolve into a Bellossom if it's exposed to a Sun Stone.
