Ben Gold, also known as Mr. L, is an Australian Super Smash Bros. Ultimate King K. Rool and Bowser player who is considered to be the best King K. Rool player in the world, placing well in numerous tournaments, including a 1st place victory at Battle Arena Melbourne 11 and a Top 8 finish at Phantom 2019. He is currently ranked 7th on the Australian Power Rankings and has notable wins over many top players such as kameme, Extra, Luco, Tru4, adom, and Jdizzle.

In Smash 4, Ben Gold primarily mained Cloud both in singles and doubles. Currently ranked 2nd on the Queensland Power Rankings. He has notable wins over Max Ketchum and Jaice. Additionally, Ben Gold has top 32 placings at Australian majors Expand Gong 2, Battle Arena Melbourne 9, and OHN15 as well as Mega Smash Mondays 124.

Trivia

  • As part of an Australia Zoo conservation and tracking program, a wild crocodile has been named after Ben Gold, thanks to a successful community fundraising organized to celebrate his victory at Battle Arena Melbourne 11 using only King K. Rool.[1]
